The lag is really bad on the second gen iPod Touch as well. This game should not have been released until that was resolved. It's bad enough that there are not trial versions of the games, but releasing it with such an obvious lag problem is pathetic. I wish there was a return policy on AppStore apps.

I wasn't sure if I should pay for Katamari or not, since I've always wanted to try playing it. Now I'm totally sold!!

After reading about ILK in USA Today (tech section, using the iphone/touch app of course) I decided to give it a whirl. This is my first Katamari game. I absolutely love it! What a fun game. My understanding is that an update was released that cured a lot of issues that people mentioned in earlier reviews from a few weeks ago, so i've got no experience with the original version. There is a bit of lag at times, but my Touch seems fine with it and the sound comes through the speakers just fine.

I am a 'casual gamer' but got sucked into the game instantly and ended up realizing, about 45 min later, how quick time was zipping by. Very cool game. Dangerous for me to have my Touch at the office now. Before, without wifi at work, it was safe... now, to heck with WiFi.... :-)
