Microsoft should start focusing on the gaming system itself and make the hardware better, then they can focus on the interface.

That would just be bad business sense. Without an approachable and easy to use interface with features that people find appealing, no one would buy the system and thus, no improvements to software would ever get done, essentially antiquating the unit before it's time.

The unit is solid and well made. I know anyone who has had a hardware failure would beg to differ, but consider the millions of units... MILLIONS, that have had no issues. I say, update the interface to attract more users and purchases of the system, then, once you've got 'em hooked on the system and it's catchy interface, you release a smaller, faster, bad-assier console so that you have a loyal base of consumers who feel a literal bond to the xbox name and who will rush out to purchase the higher-end system. Remember, Microsoft doesn't make the Xbox to appease the consumer, they make an easily marketable device to increase their profit margin for shareholders.

On the flip side, in these tough economic times, it isn't financially feasible to reinvent the wheel and try to get consumers to shell out hundreds more on a luxury, if all the wheel needs is a balance adjustment...

The new 360 dash is awesome. Finally can find your way around without spending 30 hours looking into what each blade does. Avatars are a riot! go through and look at people's choices and laugh. It makes me want to buy more live accounts so I can make more and more of them!

NXE is the lamest thing Microsofts done since vista. The Avatars are retarded, I threw up in my mouth a little when they walked out. I'd post my motto as Microsoft just shot itself in the foot multiple times over the course of however long it took to develop this thing, but its too long and next week I'd get the 3 rings of death. But look at us... junkies, addicts.. we are still jacked in.
