Yes, I probably would, it is truly a sweet idea! it can revolutionize mp3 players as we know it today much further (not only the iPod).

If it's water proof, yes. I'm dying to take something out with me when I bodyboard or surf.
But I guess what I really want is a watch like this lol. Water proof multi-function device + waterproof bluetooth headset = happy surfer.

Forgot to add:
This could be a possible successor to the current shuffle. Hm.......

It wouldn't be any good as anything other than a replacement to the shuffle; you can't find what you want quickly through more than a few songs with just voice navigation.

Well considering that there already are decent mp3/video watches out there oled screens, and memory prices constantly dropping... What does this bring to the table? If anything, it seems to be a downgrade from the already existing market by not having a screen, and a standard wrist watch band would be better than a complicated inflating thing.
If Apple wants to revitalize its iPod lineup, they need to break their own rules and make a modular device. Customization and personalization is pretty much the way to go from here. Especially as a company that's market presence and power is based off of brand name and style, that would seem to be the logical choice. Or if they just kept focusing on the iPod Touch/iPhone and made a more flexible and customizable OS for it, that'd make some people happy.

Short-version:
"Meh"

A decent idea, but I have two huge concerns. A) What kind of battery would they have in this thing? and B) They would have to waterproof it. I sometimes wear a watch, and if I start sweating, it will start to stink under it if I don't wash under it once in a while. A lot of people would use something like this for jogging or exercise, so there would be sweat, and it would probably eventually need to be washed as well. It would be a good idea if done right, but I wouldn't buy it. While it is a decent idea, even I'm not nerdy enough to be walking around with an iPod bracelet. Why not just create a watch with an LCD screen on it that can play music and video (albeit tiny video)...or better yet just go with a regular mp3 play to avoid looking like a total dufus?

I agree with ttfootball60. However, I want to take it a step further.
Why not have the iBangle produce a holographic 3D menu interface that just pops out of the iBangle and hovers over it? But, you would need to find a HIGH capacity battery and a projector small enough to fit into the iBangle. But, nonetheless, pretty cool concept. I wouldn't buy it though, not enough features to justify buying it.

Good idea if it has wireless headphones, otherwise quite stupid.

Apple would never do it because they didn't think of it first. Plus, I highly doubt Gopinath Prasana is just going to give the design away, and I can't see Jobs negotiating with a designer outside the company when he can make subtle changes and say its his own. If anything, Apple would buy the rights and then quash the design.

Great Concept. the question was put out how to link it to transfer the data, technically the designer already answered that, the bluetooth connection, that can also be used as a data transmission.

as for the battery, I know in things like electric toothbrushes they use an induction charging system, this type of charging uses electromagnetic charging so it allows items like a toothbrush to charge with out shocking someone. It also allows for charging without having any open ports.

I would buy this if it were avalible, but I would diffenetly like it if it was a watch with the bluetooth option, and if it was a watch there are other powering options avaible like the eco drive or kinetic.

Has anyone wondered how long this thing can run? Seeing as the current standards set by the iPod family is a minimum of up to 12 hours playback, has any one considered how the heck anyone will be able to fit a battery that can run more than 5 hours in a bracelet?

Your toothbrush runs 5 minutes before being restored to its dock. Your watch can go years on that tiny battery because all it's doing is turning a gear.

This is an mp3 player that needs to play music for hours.

While it is a neat idea, what I think Apple should take from this design is Bluetooth support for both headphones and file transfer. Doesn't seem like a successful product design, though. That plus induction charging would mean no holes on the case which could lead to really sleek designs. It would also get rid of the need for headphone splitters and tangled cables if you want to share with a friend.

nice idea, but im not sure how on earth it would work. Seems more like a novelty than an actual, viable product.

as far as the standalone iPod dying, i think that's a given. I just hope that when Apple kills their iPod lineup, they don't expect their huge fanbase to go out and buy the latest, greatest iTouch, cause they'll be sorely disappointed...

i hate apple but imust say this is a great idea. from a guys point of view i believe the aluminum makes it kinda gender neutral but it could come in a darker color for men. and i think if they could make bluetooth headphones that small it would be the coolest thing in the world

I would buy it on the condition that the wireless earphones are solid. I feel like something that small would have most of the space that would usually be used to improve the sound, taken up by the wireless receiver. Also, the earbuds would have to fit well. Nothing like this could be cheap, so to have loose, flimsy earbuds would be a deal breaker. However, the design looks extremely sleek, and i think would be a must own for any apple fan. Anything that would make it iPhone compatible (i.e. microphone) would be sweet too.
