Hmmmm. I wish these companies would just go back to model numbers... After a while it is just dumb.....

Just picked up the phone today. It was suppose to have been $199 less $50 rebate for a $149 total, however, there was a glitch in the price (so says the AT&T Rep), and she only charged me $169. Woo Hoo! It's a Christmas gift for my daughter. The phone looks pretty cool and the touchscreen, although not as responsive as the iPhone, is very good. My only gripe is that is doesn't come with a USB cable.

When I first saw the headline for this article, I was thinking, "Oh gosh not another phone with an epic name only to come up short in expectations."

Then I glanced at that 60x128 jpeg of the phone, saw the features and price tag, and changed my mind. While I don't think it's a phone that I'd want over an iPhone, it's definitely a cool phone. Samsung's been pretty good with their own hardware/software but usually miss out a little on the small details in the software. Like the YP-P2 and it's "DivX/XviD" support. But hey, this phone definitely is in the higher tier for now. Where's the review?

the usual video review will be very helpful. Phonedog.com has a video review of this product but i prefer to rely on cnet.com. is there any reason why it is not available?

scrolling contact list that scrolls instead of accidentally opening whatever address your finger is near when you scroll.... grrr. God forbid one should ever be in a hurry, or stressed, or in danger, or in anger, or sleepy, or 1.5 sheets in the wind, and you need to reach one of your contacts. (note: there could be a trick to this that I just haven't figured out yet... advice??)

Other than that... this is a dreamboat of a phone. It's just like a tiny, beautiful flat screen tv. And somehow the front doesn't get all dirty and smeary like other phones. Great speakers, good volume control on the speakerphone, really, what more can you ask... besides voice dial and a scroll function that works better.

No WiFi is a deal killer for me, other than that it's looks like a great touch screen phone for those that dont need or want WiFi.

I cannot find the SAR Rating for this phone anywhere. I have even searched the FCC site.
Where on earth can I find the SAR Rating?!

I love these samsung eternity. I love all those feature the phone have. BUT, Samsung Eternity need to get a wifi. It be good with wifi. Anybody like that!?!?!?

I just received my Eternity a couple days ago. This is my first "gadgety" piece of electronics in a while so I must say that I am pretty impressed with it. I haven't seen the iPhones, iPod Touches, or any other touchscreen phones in person, so I really don't have anything to compare the Eternity to.

I got the Eternity for Christmas! It looks great on the surface. The screen is beautiful and so many features. I'm looking forward to using the camera. However, I have no need for all these browser, music, and game features. I WANT TO USE IT AS A PHONE! I can't figure out speed dials. I have to scroll through my address book to find contacts. I've been spoiled with previous phones having only to press one button to dial. This phone takes at least four clicks AND some scrolling. The touch screen seems like a cool feature but since there is no keypad you can't dial by touch as I was used to. I have found no voice dial/call feature. So far there is absolutely no way to quickly call someone without analyzing the screen. I've been searching the web for nearly 24 hours for tips. It comes with no user manual and I can't find one to download. Cool phone but it doesn't work for me. Maybe AT&T will provide some help.

Exactly.... if it was as easy to use as a phone, as it is beautiful and useful in so many other ways.... wow. This would be an ultimate phone. But it really loses huge points because it's so challenging to call someone with it. What were they thinking???? If there's a trick to using the scroll feature.... Mercy sakes, someone share it.
