The device came out at AT&T stores yesterday on the 10th of November. They just put the device on the website today. So can check http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phones/cell-phones.jsp?rel=nofollow&wtSlotClick=1-001EJN-1-2

The quickfire is available in the retail stores currently, and should be available online soon. it is a nice phone, i have used it a few times, the slider is very solid, the keyboard has the regular feel to it, nothing too different there, but the touch screen is very nice and images are very clear. theincluded operating software is easy to navigate and fast. i cant remember the name of the browser it uses, but im pretty sure it is html friendly... it really is a smaller sidekick with a better form factor and 3G capability.

I was looking at the quickfire, and visited a couple stores. No stores have any to fiddle around with yet, so I'm waiting to play with one before I buy one. I hope they make a page for it soon. What color do you think is best, orange or green?

It looks really good, and I really wanted one; however, I was talking to someone who works there who said that it is a Pressure Touch Screen. If you want a touch screen you want a touch screen that is not a pressure touch screen but uses electric currents that run through your body. The touch screen becomes less and less sensitive until one day you just break it, and then what will you do? You will most likely have to spend $200 or ^ to get a new phone.
What a lame!

I got one Sunday. I transfered my Bluetooth from my Razr with little problems. The Quickfire is proving to be a solid purchase thus far. I like the keypad way better than using the IPhone. I never hit the wrong letter and have to backtrack while texting or sending an e-mail. It also has instant messenger. The touchscreen is gigantic too. I have trouble double clicking on stuff along the side of the screen, but that's my lone knock. It's very user friendly. The price, $99 after the rebate, is a steal. I can't wait to use the GPS or Yellowpages. And the internet feed is blazing quick. Check it out and you won't be disappointed.

Just as most of you guys, I want to be able to play with it before I go out &buy it. My local at&t store had it in stock, but none on the floor unfortunately. I can't wait to see a REVIEW .. there's nothing but teenagers sitting on their bed with bad camera qualities talking about the phone as of now. I want some real reviews!

My friend is getting me this phone for my b-day/x-mas. He told me about it and i looked it up online and found some review videos on youtube and it looked AWESOME. Then today after work i went to the at&t store to look for it and play with it and they had it so i fiddled with it for a little while. People keep saying it looks huge and it looks like a brick but it's really not that big. It's a lot smaller than I thought actually. I love the sounds it makes lol. The touchpad seems to be very responsive. I wish i could have seen it in green since that's the color I wanna get but they only had the gray one. blech. Anyways it looks awesome and I can't wait to get it next month =D

Does the screen flip so you can see what you're typing?

I just got mine today, works very well and its fast. They had one to mess around with on the floor. I'm very happy with my purchase, plus I got it for free (with rebate) because I upgraded!

The AT&T QuickFire fell into our hands briefly, and while we didn?t have time to do the usual in-depth SlashGear review, we thought you might be interested in our first-impressions of this Sidekick-styled handset. Formerly known as the UTStarcom Knick, the QuickFire is a quadband GSM, triband UMTS slider with a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display; slide that up, and there?s a full QWERTY keyboard.

There's a Quickfire fans site http://www.AllQuickFire.com Share your opinions there.

Appalling phone, appalling service. I bought a Quickfire in late November 2008. Within a couple of weeks, the phone wouldn't charge. Went back to the store and they gave me a new charger (but it took a week). Phone still wouldn't charge. I was then told to call the AT&T warranty number. They sent a new phone in January. Within a few weeks, the touch screen on the replacement malfunctioned. We called AT&T again and this time they sent us a refurbished phone. Within 3 days that malfunctioned (try to change the wallpaper, the phone shuts down). I've spent literally hours on hold with AT&T Customer Service and hours at their at their authorized phone store (Apex Telecom) trying to get a refund on this phone and they refuse to refund my money, even though the reps have admitted that there have been lots of complaints with this phone. I paid $99.99 for the Quickfire with a 2-yr contract. AT&T will only give me a Propel or Matrix ($49.99 and 79.99 with a 2 yr contract, respectively) and won't let me end the contract. Additionally, if I accept one of these "replacement" phones, the warranty on it will start from the date I first purchased the Quickfire (Nov 2008).
