Comments on: T-Mobile caves on 1GB data limit for G1

The carrier had planned to throttle users' data connection if they exceeded 1GB of usage in a month, but is dropping that limit from its marketing materials.

Why was this post removed by C-Net???? Anybody????
Copy of the old post: That was really stupid way to introduce 3 G...." here is 1Gb limit" . I don't know what happen to Germans, they usually design stuff that is ahead of its time, reliable, has great performance and there is plenty of it (beers, cars, freeways etc.) I think that if we could keep bad press going and keep raising a lot of dust about it on the net/blogs, they would probable live it unlimited. What is the point having great phone if your hands are tied! This is one of the reasons why I like Sprint. They may not have their act together yet but at least they are trying. T-Mobile is introducing 3 G at the same time while Sprint (USA), Russia, Korea and Japan are testing and introducing WiMax ! Why they didn't just skip the generation and go for the 4 G? Until the whole thing becomes fully operational.... Sprint will have 4G up and running and they will be already one generation behind! Somebody should make a wake up call to CIO at T-Mobile and tell him that he just wasted millions for outdated system.

The fact that T-Mobile planned to throttle at 1GB, coupled with the equally lame "soft-cap" nonsense leaves me cold for this incarnation of Android, and especially T-Mobile. Comcast has tried to start a trend that will ultimately backfire against the companies which are blinded by unmitigated greed. These American cell-phone company games are totally wrong-headed from a business sense. Until the American companies get a grip with the rest of the global market, they can suck on my unlocked phones.
