Using stars for a review on a technology focused website such as CNET does not deserve to be called "sleek" and "professional." I thought the previous look of your review scores were clear and precise. The use of stars takes away something from that feel.

This not a helpful display. For those of us who are concerned about the details, this is a dis-service because we must take an extra step to find the whole truth. The "stars" display is a muddy summary because it makes much less of a distinction than the actual details. Products in such a summary may appear to be more similar than they actually are in-depth. I'm sure the manufacturers prefer it because their "box" may appear to be more equal when compared to a better product. It would seem the editors are pandering to the advertisers. Is this due to the influence of CBS? If so, shame on all of you for failing to be strong on journalism and serving the consumers who rely on credible information.

The change to stars is NOT welcome. Before the change, ratings were clear and precise. Now, the star system brings RANGES of scores rather than actual scores, and honestly, it's pointless.

I do like the rest of the changes though, especially to the video/picture interface in reviews, although it's sort of annoying when moving between pictures there's that quick flash of the video.

I'd say get rid of the extra black in the banner, and just keep the rounded rectangle as well, for the sake of looking better.
