Part of the problem with the US Economy is the loss of factory jobs. Service jobs = low pay. Plus who are you going to work for? Other low payed members of the service economy? Hardly.

"She is definitely not fired," possibly the person who took the photo is fired :)

Molotov says: this is rediculous. I think that the girl should be offerred immunity by United States of America and she should go work Apple and she should be compensated for this ridiculousness. Knowing how things are in China; she will most likely be punished by quick decap. Unfortunately.

She shouldn't be fired. I think it's actually good PR for Chinese manufacturing. You know everyone pictures dirty factories and dirtier people making products over there. This looks like a pretty good example pic that things aren't so backward over there. And of course the guys can warm up to the idea of cute girls handling their phones.

If Apple was smart, it would start blasting out factory girl TV commercials within a month ...

Wow are people that in charge of news so desperate they had to make a story about this? Honestly, ***? That's just sad.

Asians love to throw out the "peace" sign at every photo opp. Or is it for "victory"? I doubt they have thought to wonder. "Look at me! I'm doing something I attribute to western culture!"

I think she's done more to present the human face of China than all the stage-managed events at the Olympics combined.
