From all the options that could have been upgraded to the PSP the smallest yet most powerful was left out.... Bluetooth.

All I can say is I'm really disappointed...

I would love to see a real improvement in the analog stick, this one is terrible. I also use a little stand for movies, so why can't they integrate the usage of the DS3, that would just kill. What would be even better is if they released more quality games, that never hurts.
Ya know the 2000 doesn't allow you to pop off the analog tops to put extenders on either, nice going on that one.

If a game company tried to do this 15 years ago they would lose a lot of money making people upgrade every couple of years. Remember how long it took nintendo to upgrade to the super nintendo? It's unfair to keep doing this to psp users and getting them to buy new systems every couple of years. It's not worth it just for a few new features. I can't believe they can even get away with doing this to people over and over again. But to answer the question, yes I'll be upgrading to it, LOL

i still use my psp-1000 too i got it in 2004 and it was like $299 i guess, but i still love it and won't buy another one till the actual psp2 comes out..cuzz 4 these tiny little changes...i don't think so

if ur a new psp owner then buy it, but if ur a psp-1000 or psp-2000 owner don't waist ur money...well if ur rich pls do or if ur psp is damaged...

I have the Ice Silver PSP-2000, but I am definately am going to upgrade. I love playinf FTB2 online, and I really needed a mic, but never got one. The built in mic is a great feature. I also love to play my PSP outside, but it is so hard to see the screen because of theglare, it is practically unusable. The new screen is supposed to really help, and that is a help to me. I really don't care about the video out, I've never even used it on my PSP-2000.

A lot of folks are getting spun up on whether or not the 3000 compells current owners to upgrade. If you don't want to upgrade - don't. It's that simple. Believe it or not, Sony is not revising the PSP to frustrate and annoy it's current base. This is Sony's version of agile product development.

I will be upgrading for a few reasons:
1. even owning a 2000, I have dead pixels on my screen - a problem Sony should have eliminated long ago. An upgrade is a gamble I'm willing to make to get a defect-free screen with additional improvements.
2. I travel a lot and the integrated mic will reduce the peripherals I need to carry.

That being said, there are a few improvements the PSP really needs:
1. The browser is awful. A lot of progress can be made here.
2. I'm still waiting for a good keyboard peripheral.
3. I'm still waiting on GPS.
4. I'm still waiting on a GOOD integration kit for automotive use (I think I'll see this when I see #3).

Many of my peers are dropping insane amounts of cash for iPhones AND iPods, Crackberries, GPS, laptops, car stereos, expensive cars, etc., etc. I don't mind paying $199 for a PSP and then selling it at about 1/2 to buy another at full price. So, I'm down $300 over a year for two PSPs. It's the single most expensive waste of my disposable income and well within my budget.

Yeah, I am so going to have to take the zero on on the 3000 and wait for the next real new PSP. Why do companies insist on half-assing updates like this?

i know nintendo and sony stopped working with each other a long time ago but what if they fused the psp 3000 with the nintendo DSi that would be pretty awsome
