They need to update the 5D before putting out a successor to the 40D.

Ooh I like the OLED idea. ISO 6400? Just how much will they soften the image to remove noise at that level? 3200 is already a stretch.

But having just jumped from the Gen 1 D-Rebel to the XSi, I don't think there's enough "there" there for me. Had I not upgraded, this could be on my short list.

If those are the specs to the 50D, I'll still take my d300 and its 51 point AF/metering system. Adding a power pack to it can still reach the same FPS rate, and now that Nikon has spent some time on the cameras, they are starting to focus on putting out some new telephotos and mid-range lenses. Just look out.
