Oh Kent.. you have to let go of your mother some time. lol.. anyway, why not just tell everyone there is no service, or even better "forget" your phone's charger?

Just turn it off...and if you can't...seek therapy.

Just buy an iPhone and take it with you, and it will be just like you don't have a phone at all because you won't be able to get a signal.

Dump the cell phone. I can't imagine going on vacation and still being obligated to take work calls. That is not vacation. I got rid of cell phone last year ... the relief was amazing. If I worked in a place that felt it necessary that I be in contact at all times, even while on vacation ... I'd quit.
Get a life, a real life. Get rid of that phone ... or at the very least, learn to use its off button. You have control of it ... show some will power.

I carry a cellphone when traveling, for safety reasons. But I keep it turned off unless I need help or directions.

Turn it on only to make calls. You're on vacation. Work can wait. If somebody HAS TO reach you, have them leave a message with the camp manager/front desk/your host(s).

I live in the Annapolis, MD area and am trying to decide betweeen an iphone (my heart's desire) w/ ATT service and keeping verizon's service and wating for the new Blackberry Thunder. My big question is how the ATT service is in this area, on the I-95 corridor between MD and Massachusetts, in cenral Mass, and between Annapolis and Chapel Hill, NC.

I've looked at the ATT coverage maps, but they area poor substitute for personal experience.

Any input would be most appreciated.
