Blizzard's annual convention suffers from fits and starts in the ticket purchasing process.

My husband was trying to buy tickets and when he finally got through (actually he called ME from work to try and buy them as he couldn't get through on the computer at work) and when I added it to the cart... and all his Character info and Attendee info..., it kicked me back to the store to buy more video games - and about 20 seconds later when I got back to the right spot it told me my cart was empty. I tried to add it again... and all of a sudden it was sold out. I think it's an absolute SHAM that they would let the ticket even be in my cart and ask for all his info and then decide, "Nope. Sorry. Nevermind. Sold out." The stupid ticket was in the cart ready to be bought! This was going to be his first time going ever and he was so excited. It just goes to prove my point to him- not everyone or just anyone can go- you have to KNOW somebody to get in. It's a scam to get you intoi the "store" to buy more video game stuff. How sad. If it had not kicked me over to the store to buy more games, we may have made it. OR maybe if I ahd BOUGHT a video game, it would have allowed me to buy the ticket.
But because I would not, it kicked the ticket out of the cart and said sold out.
Don't get me wrong, I can't STAND WOW and everything associated with it. I have an M.A. and a REAL job- but this meant a lot to my husband and all you gamers are losers anyway (yes, I know I married one). But this nonsense of a scam to try and hustle customers to buy more moerchandise is bogus and actrually illegal... it's called bait and switch.
Thanks for reading this and letting me vent. It was the only way I knew how since gamers aren't going to be reading the CNN blogs! Have a great time at blizz con with all your connections!

I have been trying all day and was not as lucky at 12:45 PDT, now the store is not working again and sometimes it says its sold out, but no blue post yet or update on blizzcon.com, i hope they still have tickets.

I'm extremely tired of WOW, but as a single mother of two boys who absolutely love the "game"...I was giving in to a 3 year old request to treat them to a BLIZZCON event. How disappointing after trying for at least 40 hours (for real!!!!), to keep getting kicked off the site and never get tickets. The tickets would show in the cart...but the site would never let me get to the point of actually paying for them...even though my account was set up!!! POOR PLANNING for a company/site that is supposedly "innovative" from a technological standpoint. I live in Alabama and have been making plans to take the trip cross-country for several months... Looks like I've saved myself lots of money! Unfortunately I have two teenagers who are more than disappointed!!!

I'm new to WoW... since April and very excited that Blizzcon is right here in Anaheim this year. I live just 2 hours away. So starting yesterday i've been trying to buy tickets. Finally, I was able to get on the site today at about 1:10pm PDT and was able to place 1 ticket in the shopping cart. I was prompted to register... however, it would never move past the acceptance of the EULA agreement .. and I did all the required scrolling down and check boxes... but it would just keep coming back to that same EULA agreement. So I shutdown my browser came back to the site and now it shows "sold out". I tried to go to the support page to complain... however, it's showing the site down for maintenance. This is a joke. This is inexcusable; yet should have been expected for the number of unplanned restarts .. boot offs and other server related issues i've experience in the few months I've played WoW.
Why don't I stop you may ask... cause the darn thing is so much fun and slightly addictive.. lol.

Yep, the same thing happened to me..., Three times at different times of the day. Confirmation page after enterning all information then BAM! Kicked back to the front page. I don't care what their excuse is. For a company that makes mega-millions operating an online game in which millions can be online at any one time, they sure can't seem to run a simple website to sell tickets. I'm sure I will see them start to pop up on ebay for $500 each.

Just on a random GamePolitics Note,.. This Blunder could not have come at a worse time for blizzard,... With W.A.R.'s release date in just over 1 month, fans will not have forgotten their pain by then..
I honestly don't see a way out of this one for blizz,..
Mythic / EA Could not have asked for a better gift than this.

I had my tickets in the cart, because the site was slow, by the time I was able to checkout the tickets were unavailable thanks Blizzard for getting our hopes up. and thanks for telling us how great is going to be! Sounds like you need a better IT staff, if you need some help contact me.

I had my tickets in the cart. I had my tickets at the confirmation. I had my credit info in. I checked the website between midnight until 3am on the 11th. I tried all day long for hours on end, wasting an entire frustrating day. I tried the following day. I tried when they said they had 'a few tickets' at 800PDT. I have been a dual account player since beta. I am so disappointed in Blizzard, words cant begin to describe. Useless wasteful unprofessional move. What a total waste.. no words.

Well i got deep truble buying the tickets. But think the biggest announcement was the news about diablo 3 http://www.diablo3x.com . So im just glad i got the tickets
