I don't really understand the reasoning behind all the "iPhone trashing" in this article. Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see any other cellphones listed in the top 50. The fact is, a cellphone doesn't make a very good Christmas gift. Much less an iPhone. Even the smallest of iPhone 3g plans comes out to 70 bucks a month.. without text messaging... or tax. So by gifting someone an iPhone 3g, you're basically saying, "Here, I got you this $200 phone, oh, and I'll let you take care of the $2,000 worth of phone bills I committed you to over the next 2 years!" Of course, you could offer to pay the bill, but then you're getting someone a $2,000 gift. And that's a pretty substantial gift.

The fact is that a cellphone (even an iPhone) is not a huge investment. It's all about the service. Therefore, I don't believe it's right to mock the iPhone for coming in at #38 on a list where no other cellphones even made the top 50. In order to make a good comparison, take out the cellphone part, and just keep the music/video/game player that's left over. Luckily, such a gadget actually exists. But that device only came in, well, 1st. So, obviously my point is not justified.

iPhone trashing? iPhone trashing? You are surely jesting.

I am mocking the bloody survey, plamoni. Surveys are, in general, all rather warped.

Do please relax this Christmas.

The very best Christmas gift any of us can give is to truly forgive that person who hurt us the most.
