just fyi, internet, telephone network, snail mail system, and word of mouth are also used to recruit spies.

Only it isn't just on the public side. The conversational abilities and fast sharing of information across a network of people has an internal version of this already in use by spies. So it goes beyond recruiting. Fascinating stuff! Thanks for passing this along.

Keep in mind these are "data analysts". You an translate that to mean "office people". It is the field operatives that have to keep their identity secret.
