Comments on: Revisiting Apple's iPhone strategy

Steve Jobs is right not to license the Mac, iPhone, or iTunes software to hardware makers. Getting into a battle for OEMs with Microsoft, Google, Symbian, RIM, and Palm, etc. is a losing strategy at this juncture.

With all respect of the US cell phone market, the Iphone needs a lot of development in order to be a success world wide. In Europe where 3G and HSDPA has been up and running for several years and the cell phone penetration as well as knowledge is high, customers demand more. I think that's one main reason for Iphone selling slow in Germany, France and the UK so far.
The Iphone developers at Apple need to understand that the cell phone market is global and that their current product is best suited for the US market.
Here's a to-do-list with things that the Iphone lacks and/or needs badly:
1. Support for cut & paste in all apps
2. Ability to sync notes with computer
3. Support for Adobe Flash in the browser
4. Ability to send mms
5. Improved camera - a least 3.2 megapixel
6. Ability to record video with the camera
7. Flash or at least photo light for the camera
8. Support för 3G - UMTS
9. Support för hsdpa high speed mobile data
10. Voice commands and voice notes
