Hey people settle down.
Lets Look At the logic of the situation. Mac and Pc is a somewhat unfair fight.
My Logic is
- the newer Macs are made with intel processors like most Pc's (excluding Amd athlon's)
- Macs do run at a much higher rate
- but are made of different architecture
- to some the OS is Easier and more astetically apealling
- Macintosh is a very Artistic Based Computer. Good for Art Students
- The Older (Pre 2006) Macs or G series made by Motorola/IBM were worht the cash
- Pc's today come in Numerous Sizes, Shapes and Styles
- and with Adobe Software can almost compete with mac
- Despite what anyone says, the cheaper video cards cause entry to mid level macs to suck at gaming
- Pc Controls 95% (give or take 1%) of the market making it easy to buy/sell/repair local
- Apple does charge more for most things they Sell. (peripherals, add ons, warranty)
- Most new Pc's come with a free 1 year warranty
- There are 100's of PC models to choose from only 6 mac models
- A aluminum Macbook (not pro) costs $1299 and has a 2 ghz prossecer, 2 gb of ram, and a 160 gb hd
- A Dell Inspiron 1420 costs $749 for 2.1 ghz processor, 2gb ram, and 250 gb HD, and a bigger screen
- Don't Buy a computer for any of that envoirmental crap.
- Despite what is said computers still contian harmful chemicals i wouldn't touch with a pole.
- Don't Beleive Me? Open up your battery look for the 3-9 cells in there.
- open them and touch the icky stuff in there watch your flesh magically disapear!
- Or just crush up some of the sircut boards or processor. and blow it into the air. (cough.)
-Most Computer "Recylcers just ship it off to Asia and call it not their problem.
- 7 is yet to come out. only release candidates have been released and a few changes will happen
- to the man who went snooping in the dll library files - vmmware is a trojan virus downloader and may want to be careful with removal because it may be deep rooted into registry. It probably thinks its vista becuase 7 RC is so new and the virus deosn't know what its doing in 7 and presumes its the newest windows service pack.
- Macs are not 100% virus proof either. despite rumors they do get a few. but very little do to the issue of compatibility but you should buy some anti virus software to be safe.
- To linux users. I have nothing agianst linux other than compatiblity wiht gaming. and the fact that some underestimate the ultimate power of open source. I virtual box alot of linux and I'me kinda a fan of Fedora and ubuntu.
IM MAKING NO RECOMMANDATIONS HERE JUST PUTTING OUT INFO FOR BETTER DECISIONS.
there will always be people who will pay almost 2x as much for a shiny case but remember if the mac nuts get what they want and MS goes under mac goes out since they own a huge chunk of mac. But if the PC peoples get their wish and Mac stops going so do the new ideas. not to be mean but MS copies alot but so did apple. Apple stole orignal GUI from Xerox's Idea bin. MS stole it from them. We all have something in common. If the Linux or BSD people got what they want well the world would be a more connected place.
