Comments on: Understanding Microsoft's Linux code shocker

In a move even the software maker notes is unusual, the company is contributing code for three drivers for inclusion in the open-source operating system. No, it hasn't lost its mind.

yeah the reason why MS released this code under GPL is simply because it used GPL code on some of its hypervisor tech. Also MS is hurting bad take a look http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/24/technology/companies/24soft.html?partner=rss&emc=rss. Plus they keep paying these patents holders of Linux tech with the exception of TOM TOM to keep hush hush about the fact that MS has a ton of GPL/Open Source code on their tech. Yeah before yah start ******** and complaining do a little research then ********.

So Intel goes OpenSource on MS, Google is getting ready for the Kill and Ubuntu will keep on trucking, while DELL, HP, IBM and ACER will keep milking MS for those advertising dollars they pay them to make Windows their Number 1 OS. The Best Part is that UNLIKE the US(DOJ) whom slapped MS on the wrist the EU is going to put MS on their ***** if they don't start playing nice and follow the rules. You capitalists act like being unethical and having sahdy business practice is somehow something to celebrate. This is the same exact reason why this country is in the *****!

Ever wonder why windows 7 is looking alot like the many linux distros. Microsoft will start to transitioning to linux around 2014. There getting people used to the look and feel of Linux. In about two years they will buy out a popular Linux company as they have the infrastructure all set. three years after that we will start hearing rumors of Windows porting over to unix / linux. And very soon after that we will have Windows ? "omega". Its what Microsoft wanted to happen with vista but it was just to soon for them to start so they began with the GUI.
