Wow, the Redmond folks are really coming across as desperate! Apple's got QuickTime, let's do Windows Media. Adobe's got Flash, let's do Silverlight. Sony's got PlayStation, let's do XBox. Apple's got iPod/iTunes, let's do Zune/Marketplace. Apple's got iPhone, let's do Windows Mobile (okay, MS was really the first in that market, but now they're playing catchup, so to be fair, let's compare them with Palm who they are besting at present). But a retail store!? What are they thinking!? What would you buy from Microsoft at a MSFT store? A mouse? They don't even get a premium from existing B&M, how are they going to justify a retail store for selling mice and zunes? I predict this will see the same fate as the Gateway Store and Dell Kiosk. MS already has minions supporting PCs at Best Buy and Circuit City (oops, strike that last one). Anyway, you can purchase Microsoft products as a bundle anywhere and there's no need to promote their real products (OS, Office Apps, Web Technologies) at a specialized boutique. They seem to want to burn through their cash reserves wasting money on feel good, but do-no-good projects. Focus on getting Windows 7 out (secure and bug free!) and get a good PR firm. Get rid of your evil reputation and MSFT will do just fine without a retail store. I've only got a handful of MSFT shares left, but if this is the way their going to spend their fortunes, I'm cashing out before they do.

LOL I love the stupid Apple fanboy posts ... including the title "Microsoft follows apple" reminds of how APPLE FOLLOWED MICROSOFT in creating its OS system LOLOL

you've been either living under a rock or just clueless or both
cause it's obviously the other way around
Microsoft always follow Apple into everything
just like they followed them in creating a O.S
