All credit to Steven Sinofsky, who is actually getting this thing (almost) shipped. He's been relatively transparent in doing it, too, which is a breath of fresh air. Begs the question of whether it's a great OS. It's clearly an improvement on Vista, but is it enough? I'd use it personally even if I didn't have to. However, I don't know that I'd go through the upgrade pain for a large IT department yet. I hope companies will, but in these times it will not be an easy sell.

I have been running it's beta for more than a week and right now it's my primary OS--the best OS :) But I wish it had ribbon UI explorer to make things much easier and every thing just in front of my eyes rather than going through menus and so on.

I have installed Windows 7. I use Media Player a lot and most of the features and commands are disabled? What's up?
I cannot import music (for instance) and have to set the music folder to play which it does. However, Media Player does not download the album art and does not add to the library. Am I doing something wrong or is this feature just not fully functional in Windows 7 yet?

It is a BETA so it may not be functional but I have not had any issues getting all of my music library from an external imported into WinMedia on Windows7.

The easiest way to add media to the media player library is to add it to the appropriate Library location.
