i manage a network with both win (2000, xp & vista) and mac clients.... osx looks the biz but have you ever tried maintaining 20 macs? at the same time maintaining 60 pc's with xp or vista is a breeze (drivers, games and pretty much most of the programs on the market). experiencing the lot i personally have a centrino 2 laptop running vista ultimate 64 bit and run adobe CS3 seamlessly (sorry i thought macs were superior for design!!) and and have participated in previous vista beta1,2,rc1,rc2 then was happy to purchase rtm. how about apple let us pc users test their os on our pcs so we have something to compare with?!! Don't think this will happen... in fact have apple ever given an os to apple users to test or do they think they know better??

A better example of the glowing beacon of ignorance I have yet to see. My work is basically all Macs, that means hundreds of them running across 3 counties. We spend more time trying to find something to do around here because maintaining all these machines defines easy.

And to answer your question yes Apple does beta test their OS releases, typically under NDA's though. We'll wait while you look that acronym up ...

MS just added the latest verbiage to both the TechNet page and the Win7 (public) page -- at least in the last 30 minutes (it is currently ~8PM EST here).

I have been running Wndows 7 for about a month now, without any problems. the interface is much eaiser to navigate thanks to the superbar, there are alot of apps that were problematic in Vista which seem to run fine in Windows 7. Now to all the MacInHacks......

dont be so quick to badmouth Windows, I am a mac user as well and I feel like alot do, Darwin is a cookie cutter type os, "Take it as it is or so sorry" I do like the MAC for what it was designed for, Turnkey Audio and Video production.

Lastely, I have done more Windows installs on Macs lately than on PC's. That should tell you something about Windows........

outa here
