This is a great deal! I've used several Laplink products in the past when parallel or serial cables were required. However it seems that the site is swamped. I have not been able to connect - "waiting for http://www.laplink.com/"

Unfortunately, I've had the same problem. I think they promoted this deal a little too well. Hopefully the servers will clear up before the day is out...

In addition to the free software, they also have steep discounts on other software such as Raxco PerfectDisk and Webroot SpySweeper for $10. I purchased some of this discounted software and the download was *very* slow, but completed.

As of 7PM ET their servers are still swamped. Here is the message:
The response has been outstanding and our servers are currently experiencing extremely high volumes of traffic. You have successfully obtained a PCmover license with the required Serial Number. So, unless you plan to use PCmover today, we recommend you return in the near future to download PCmover. You can return to this page at any time.

I keep getting a bad gateway response. At least I got what I paid for -- nothing.

Amazingly, if you buy something else -- it connects!!!

Bait and switch. Too bad they got a ton of great press for a scam.

Or... far more people were trying to get the freebie than were buying stuff.
