- Why would anyone spend any money on HD-DVD? It is clearly loosing the battle with Blu-ray. Once the studios that support HD-DVD end their contracts they will certainly jump on Blu-ray, and its only a matter of time before that happens. The very best thing you could do is get a dual format player supporting both formats.

- I really think it could go either way at this point. HD is very popular among Xbox 360 users, for obvious reasons, and there's a lot more of them than there are PS3 users. But it continues to surprise me that things have dragged on this long, that more dual-format players haven't come out, that one camp or the other hasn't started selling $99 players, etc. It's like the two sides are determined to continue the lose-lose battle...
