Ditch? No, put it alongside this one. The only thing better than one big monitor is two big monitors! :)

with a 1920x1080 res I guess its 9:16, unlike 1920x1200 10:16 typically 24" WS monitors. If its 1920x1080 with 10:16 form factor (I DON"T think it is, but check) it would not not be able to show HD in its full glory. Area wise if my math is right .. a 9:16 only has ~2.5% more surface area than a 10:16 (when the the diagonal is the same).

Wow! I just bought a 22 inch Dell monitor a couple of months ago...no HDMI on it, though and I paid about $30 more than this one. Should have waited!!! Too bad I can't afford another one so soon. :-( Great deal, though and if you're stuck with a 17-inch or smaller, then definitely expand!

Could this be connected to an HD cable box with an HDMI cable and perform as an HD TV?

Most monitors do not make good tvs. The least expensive LCD monitors are the so called TN monitors that have limited viewing angles. I watch TV on my 24 inch monitor, but at a distance the slightest angle off center causes a gamma shift.

Great find. Even if these things are open only briefly, please continue to post em!

I've got 2 of the $199 rebranded HPs that were posted here a while ago. Thanks for that one.

This latest deal (however short) resets the bar even lower and thats good news anyway that you look at it.
