Comments on: Get a Brother Wi-Fi laser printer for $70 shipped

Sure, it can do the USB thing, but the real beauty of the HL-2170W is its ability to print without wires. It's compact, fast, and on sale for the lowest price I've seen yet.

Rick,

I bought two of these back when you first wrote about them. They've been great at home and in a small office suite. No probs with anyone's Mac or PC. Thanks! Tom

I have this printer as well - painless setup - a real workhorse. Incidentally, their color wireless laser (4170CDW I think) is a similar gem.

I just got this printer 10 days ago and I love it. Setting it up under linux was a little difficult because it has no display to set the ip configuration or for password entry so you'll first have to wire it and login to its web interface to set it up after that it worked like a charm. I'm tickled to death to have this printer at such a low price point.
