Would the picture look better if I used a VGA to DVI cable, or a VGA to HDMI cable (is there such a thing)?
Open to advice/suggestions. The picture is fine, just wanted to see if I could improve things at all.
However, DVI is a major improvement over VGA. I would ditch HDMI though; DVI is better and more compatible among PC equipment.
Also no suprise it was Hannspree since their monitor's usually run at $40-80 less than other monitors in their class
Personally, I think having to deal with Tiger Direct the major drawback of this Hann deal.
For people that have a crappy CRT monitor they should jump on this. For people that want Hi Def PS3/360 action, be wary.
Also... I don't know a single person that knew Hannspree as a brand... and... well... having a monitor go out on you would just make you deal with the warranty or get a new more trusted brand.
I was so dissapointed with the Acer monitor I had bought for 200... Mostly cause it was my first time really actually seeing what HD looked like and I was so enamored with how much better it looked I took it back with my heart set on buying something better, but... Decided I can't afford better right now T_T
Rick if you have a 26 inch HD T.V. deal coming up for around or under 350 from a good brand with good reviews and great reliability... please hook us up.
