If it does beat Halo's record, you have to remember, Halo was only on the 360, and only when there was an install base of about 10 million 360s. Now there's about 15 million and Halo 3 has sold over 8 million copies. I'm waiting to see how many copies GTA IV sells on the 360.

While I cannot dispute the fact that Halo 3 was a good game, this argument always surfaces on every article ever written on the subject of GTA:IV beating Halo 3. And, I must say, if the publishers of Halo 3 were smart, they'd have done the same thing...

If EA was involved in the release you can bet they would have
barged in & rushed production, skimped on compatibility &
generally stuck their oar in where its not needed in their uncontrollable money grabbing lust.
