Web sites launch all the time, but they also shut their doors. We highlight 15 that bit the dust this year.
Let the debate begin: Was the iPhone more important than iTunes? Was anything bigger than Google finding a great business model? CNET offers its list of the 10 most important stories of the '00s.
Daniel Terdiman, uniquely positioned to take you into the middle of another side of technology, chronicles his explorations of the "fun beat," from cultural phenomena such as Burning Man to cutting-edge aircraft to game conventions.

rude? Damed straight, and if you go to her blog, her lack of gray
matter becomes apparent, a total retard and waste of skin and butt
ugly. Violet Blue? The name tells all.
Thanks for telling us you had a "religious conversion" to Apple, because your statement could only be made by a devotee, not a rational man. If Jobs' talent matched his press and his ego, he'd have a much bigger company. There is lots of talent out there, and Jobs may be a Hype King, but he's not the leader of the pack in any other way.
By the way... Bill Gates is an example of a compassionate person that Jobs could learn from. None of us has liked spending so much on Microsoft products, but its a good thing that Gates is giving so much back to world health and other causes. God bless Bill Gates.
Speaking of Jer-ry, Jer-ry, Jer-ry, perhaps Steve Jobs did recognize Violet Blue. He does live in the Bay Area. Read the history of the Jerry Springer Show on Wikipedia. We all know that we can read, right? Apparently the show began as a politically oriented talk show and Springer revamped the format to get higher ratings. Maybe Jobs doesn?t want to go more ?lowbrow? with Violet Blue. If everyone was on the same level, we would lose our depth. And it would be boring. A dish without spices.
And Lar-ry, please write in and give us your opinion of Violet Blue, etc. Or maybe not. I?m loaded with ORCL and would like you to take the high road. Does the high road show up on Google Earth? We might need directions. But everyone can't travel the high road or it would get too crowded.
Courtesy with a smile while saying "No way!" is cool, too.
Tell me, violet blue. What is the reason for this story? In what way should I react to this?
I was for sure impressed by the modesty shown by folks in america - until I realized the deeper capitalist truths and even more when i considered world as a black box.
You are fine (only) if you are on top. Else you are exploited. That is the underlying capitalism. And you can see that more naked in non-developed countries.
So all these 'visionaries' are actually eye openers for future generation - if they really want peace and happiness they better find something else.
How much do you really need to find a new equation or make a new poem. Do u need a laptop? and will laptop give you that? it can not probably find the value of 'Pi' to good accuracy... The mind is much vast than this. And technology actually slows down. Its (the technology) is just good for commerce and Greenspan to worry about...

So at least he probably was there. What remains to be
determined is exactly what happened between him and Violet.
I concede that Steve indeed on the floor of the halls.
Ave (Glass Cube) grand opening, when I approached him and asked
him a few questions, from Apple's origins (started the business in
his mom's garage) to the magnificence of the new glass cube. He
even asked me a few questions on my opinion of New York City's
Apple Stores. It was a pleasant and gratifying experience having
met Steve.

- I have been to countless Mac World Expos in SF, when ( and IF ) Steve Jobs comes onto the floor after his keynote he is heavily guarded by Apple Security dudes in long black leather coats. Usually a frenzy of media is gathered around him to record his answers to their questions, video soundbites for the news, etc, etc.

Showing 3 of 3 pages (90 Comments)You cannot get within ten feet of Steve without been asked to please step back by security.
After the interview, all the video camera lights go out & out the door he goes, since he IS kinda busy with Apple, Disney, Pixar, etc., etc....
So her story is total BS fabricated to get attention to her Podcast / Blog site & her personally.
STUPID STORY C|NOT, as this just goes to show that you can not be professional journalist without revealing you bias against Steve Jobs & Apple, Inc.

All three show Jobs, and the last one shows Jobs AND Scoble. So it certainly was possible and Jobs with his horde of security must have slipped up that day. So don't go accusing people of fraud without at least reading the rest of the blog a little better.
