Some datacenters..
by 8ball629 October 24, 2007 11:31 AM PDT
After checking 12 Google.com datacenters using seochat.com's "Future PageRank" tool I was able to see that 5/12 of them are still showing a PageRank of 7.

I didn't check the others but I'm sure they're the same.

I've seen this happen before and it usually bounces back to the previous PageRank but sometimes not.

PageRank in the Google Toolbar is 4-6 weeks behind
by JohnT32 October 24, 2007 1:38 PM PDT
Google has publicly stated that the PageRank as shown in the Google Toolbar is 4-6 weeks behind what is baked into the algorithm.

According to Matt Cutts, the PR changes incrementally on a regular basis.

A better question that these Bloggers should have is has their traffic from Google search gone down with the PageRank? PageRank is just one of a huge number of factors that go into the search engine result when a query is searched upon.

Is Our Children Learning PageRank?
by welcometowallyworld October 26, 2007 4:28 AM PDT
Sorry for the Bushism - just wanted to get your attention. Yeah
the famous (Larry)PageRank - its gone a bit nutsoid lately hasn't
it? But then so has Google Search and how they rank the pages.
Case in point - Google "affiliate elite" and you'll see that the
inventor/owner of AffiliateElite.com, Brad Callen, has been
usurped for the top spot by AffiliateElite.org - owned by a Greek
graphic designer in Corinth - with a PageRank of Zip and 42
Yahoo links from 2 or 3 PR3/4/5 sites. AffiliateElite.com only
made it to the front page this week and is still only on #6. More
here - Who's on
First

Strange the way Google doesn't make a public statement on
something as important as this. These aren't rinky-dink sites
they are downgrading - some of them have lots of traffic and
credibility.
