Comments on: America's Fortress: Cheyenne Mountain, NORAD live on

Despite the common public belief that the famous facility has closed down, and that it is one and the same as NORAD, it is fully operational and packed with critical U.S. military and defense agencies.

It is somewhat curious that after all of these years of wondering what day we are going to be destroyed on, not one post has suggested that maybe the creation of nuclear weapons was not such a wonderful thing to do for us after all.

Not one has suggested that there is a possibility that we all are the "Living Dead."

Thousands of nuclear weapons, some sitting on a hair trigger alert status, awaiting only an accident or mistake, and the mass human race could be put to the torch in a productive afternoon of destruction.

Their mountain hideaway is built strong so that once the nuclear missiles start flying, they can continue on to immolate us all, while they sit comfortably and exterminate humanity to satisfy the 'peculiar interests' of the central bankers and their associates, the nuclear war fighting elite.

It is curious; not one poster of 37, has guessed or even suspected that our nuclear war fighting elite have already pulled the nuclear trigger on us, and that we are the Living Dead. The other aspect is that it is so obvious. Now say to yourself, ?I am one of the Living Dead. Repeat that mantra for as long as it takes to awaken from the Mind controlled hypnotic trance that you are in.

Stop watching Alex Jones and reading whatreallyhappened.com

Nuclear weapons are not on hair pull trigger, you obviously do not know the systems in place to prevent accidental launches (on bother US and Russian sides).

Without us, the worker bees, Elites won't have anything to rule over. They need us as much as we need them. (well we don't really need them, but most don't realize what those Elites like Rothchilds, Rockefellers, etc have done for our world).

Patrick5651, have you checked to see if they have something for your depression? Seriously, the world is not all that bad. Maybe once you're approaching your 30s you'll understand

There was a TV documentary about the building of that war centre some years ago.
Showed a lot more than was disclosed in the above article.
Even shown down here in the South Pacific place called New Zealand.

I bet most of you Americans have never heard of it.

Fasinating. But will it withstand a photon torpedo? Heck, how about a starship fired phaser array.

Is there a gift shop one might visit after the mountain tour? Wonder how much it would cost to ship a replica of one of those blast doors.

National Geographic did an episode on NORAD.

See details here:

MODERN MARVELS (on History channel) also did an episode.

Thanks for the article and the pictures, very good. I liked the pictures especially due to your focus on the engineering that went into the site. It's very uncommon to see an article with good information in a popular site. Keep it up!!!

To Sythara, while I do appreciate that you respond to my post, there are many things that the mass of the everyday ordinary people are not aware of.

You said: Stop watching Alex Jones and reading whatreallyhappened.com

I don?t watch Jones and never logged on to whatreallyhappened.com, my only issue is nuclear weapons and getting these weapons of mass destruction into a shut down mode, world wide.

You said: ?Nuclear weapons are not on hair pull trigger, you obviously do not know the systems in place to prevent accidental launches (on bother US and Russian sides).?

To respond, let me quote Karl Liebknecht (1871-1919) on the purpose of war. ?War, Liebknecht said, is aimed at ones own domestic population rather than an external one. The true purpose of war is to subordinate the mass of the domestic population to exploitation at the hands of the dominant class.?

To extrapolate, Russia and America are ?Twins conjoined at the head.? It was understood by the end of 1946 that to go ahead with the build up of nuclear weapons would in one way or the other lead to a nuclear holocaust that would engulf the mass of the human race. The decision was made by the central bankers to go ahead with ?Eyes wide open? as to what the outcome would be; the mass destruction of the human race.

As for depression I don?t have that condition, the only emotional issue that I need to deal with is my continuing anger that we allow our central bankers to stack a bunch of nuclear weapons up in this world hoping that one will go off somewhere so that they can have the last laugh when a few thousand nukes explode over our heads while they sit in the undergrounds that we have built for them.

You said: ?Without us, the worker bees, Elites won't have anything to rule over. They need us as much as we need them. (well we don't really need them, but most don't realize what those Elites like Rothchilds, Rockefellers, etc have done for our world).?

The only thing I would like change in your verse is that the elites like Rothschilds, Rockefellers, etc have done 'to our world,' rather than what they have done for our world.

From 1965-1968 I slept with nuclear weapons and handled equipment in our engineering spaces to operate these weapons while on board a US Navy ship. While still a youngster it became apparent to me that if one of these nuclear tipped missiles was used in a hostile situation it would only be a short time later that destruction of unimaginable proportions would engulf us all. The nuclear plot against humanity is not taught in school, but it is real.

You can watch the ?Night of the Living Dead? on the net for free. It does have a few clues in there. The removal of the unnecessary menace created by nuclear weapons needs to be at the top of the list of things to do in this world. It will happen only when the mass of the population understands how truly criminal these implements of genocide really are, and what the true plans for their use are.

Patrick5651 you just sound like an ignorant fool. And I really dont understand your obsession with the term 'living dead' which you repeatedly mentioned WAY to many time. WE GET THE POINT!

Nuclear weapons are not set up with a "hair trigger status alert" as you call it. Im sure that if someone trips over the power cord the nukes are going to get set off.

Stop being so negative and honestly, you really might want to see someone about that. I know your just going to come back complaining that your right and im wrong and really...I dont care.

This was a good article. give the author credit for this at least. People HAVE said that the discovery of the nuke (Einstein has claimed this several times) was one of the biggest disappointments in human evolution. But the discovery of time travel hasn't come yet so its something we have to live with...deal with it.

I and my unit had an opportunity to tour Cheyenne Mountain in 1968. Given the times it was most impressive. Particularly when I had the opportunity to sit in the commander's chair and see a map showing all aircraft in the air over the United States. Also to find out how many were unidentified. Also to learn of the design deficiencies of the facility.

It was amazing to walk outside the buildings and see the cavern and the springs the buildings are mounted on,

Ahhh, the good old days when America lead the world in the design and execution of high technology. That was pretty sweet! Thanks Daniel!

In 1967, after my third year tour in Vietnam, I was assigned to NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense) and became the Army's representative to the NORAD Briefing team. The team consisted of an Air Force Lt Col, a Canadian Capt and me an Army Major. This team represented the Commander in Chief of Norad (CINC NORAD), a four star General Officer. When we were not giving twice a day briefings to visitor's in the Mountain, we toured the US and Canada giving PR presentations to almost any group (civic groups primarily) that had the time to listen. We also did radio and TV talk shows. All of briefings were followed by a Q&A period which generally ran longer than the briefing itself. Radio and TV presentations were generally followed by a period allowing listeners and viewers to call in. Because of our training and continuing education, where daily reading of the Congressional Record was mandatory for example, I don't recall that any question being answered with "I am sorry, that is classified". Here it is 42 years and thousands of these briefings later and I see a picture of the same support springs a picture of wihich we ued in our briefing......

I appreciated the article and photos because I have a son who lives in Colorado Springs and have been fascinated by it's purpose for many years. America needs to be vigilent against those who would just as soon cut off our heads as look at us. We need to support our military and anti-terrorism organizations. May people think terrorism only happens to others so they totally disregard the warnings. Too bad so many don't see the danger and accuse some politicians of trying to scare America into a stronger defense system. Terrorist want us to think there is no danger. I'd rather be safe than sorry, and sure don't ever want to say, "we could have and we should have!" May our grandchildren be free and live the American dream.
