Please proof-read your articles before posting them. And I do mean READ them, not just hit the "spellcheck" button!

"The Google Lunar X Prize is a $20 million purse that will be awarded to the first privately-funded team to and a rover on the moon, travel at least 500 meters across the surface and then send two packages of video, data and images back to Earth."


There's something missing in that sentence isn't there?

I do sincerely hope Mr Obama finally gets the U.S. into space-based solar energy collection; preferably by making it attractive to private business to set up as a non-governmental utility.
