The first thought that comes to mind, sadly, is what form will the game's griefers take? Will we see a mass of user-submitted stories that run the clock down faster?

That's why you have Game Masters. They get the unenviable job of filtering out the losers.

Personally, I have very little use for Nihilists. They are the world worst pessimists. The wonder of it all is that they don't all commit suicide as soon as they go nihilistic. Maybe there's hope for them afterall.

A better game-design would be able to incorporate griefers as an opposition. Not as if there ain'tt a real-world equivalent to griefers in a game about making a better future for humanity ;)
