George Lucas continues to oversee the destruction of one of the greatest franchises of the last century.

He has lost his mind.

Well it does belong to him, so he can destroy it as he sees fit. Sad but true.

Shouldn't he start working on "updating" the dreadful episodes 1-3 and put out another reissue of 4-6?

I will be buying this game as soon as it comes out on PC (which they've said will definitely be coming). I prefer my PC as a gaming platform and I'm not going to be forced to consoles, sorry.

I love PC games over consoles.

Wait to see if they do any of that DRM crap that is hurting spore.

Besides, the last good star wars title was Tie Fighter.

Well said. I also will be waiting for the PC version.

For me it really depends on the games mechanics, some games are better suited for a particular platform. Blizzard at one time tried to bring the "Crafts" to consoles, but those versions failed miserably. Conversely, you don't see a lot (if any) of action/adventure/platformers on the pc. Probably because the standard keyboard isn't the best device to control the game. I for one like the variety of have games for pc and games for consoles. Keeps the cramps to a minimum and the bed sores away.

drfrost, and the previous poster: .. I agree with the both of you, as far as I'm concerned I own a platform for my gaming, it's called a PC. I have already bought the hardware, I've already bought the software. I won't be paying 3 or 4 hundred dollars more for another platform, just to play a single game. because I have no interest in the other games that are platform only. So it's either Lucas puts this game on a PC or I don't buy. And if Lucas never puts it on pc. then I won't be buying it. (and no I won't be messing with an emulator) Because that only encourages them to put it on platform only and make us jump through hoops.

The (PS3) demo of this game was so fun! I can't wait to play the real game. It sucks that the apprentice redeems himself, I liked the dark feel of the game.

BlackPenguin, drfrost,

I understand your positions, but there really are some great games and franchises that are console exclusive and, as 5th gen+ console emulators have proven, those experiences will never be truly duplicated on the PC. Just hate seeing gamers miss out on truly innovative and unique masterpieces.

They were already sold out of Force Unleashed at EB when I went in last night. The PS3 version no less. However, I bought it off Amazon for cheaper. It's been a couple of years since we've had a Star Wars game that wasn't a compilation. Unleashed though is apparently just average but the demo was fun.

Too bad the game is essentially a totally subpar God of War/Devil May Cry/Ninja Gaiden knockoff with ragdoll physics.

Seriously, with the kind of money Lucas Arts has, you think they could have non-robotic character animations, no load screens between MENUS, and a lock-on system that wouldn't have functioned well six years ago?

The focus on physics is definitely a step in the right direction, but the Force is definitely not unleashed - it's drowning in a turd of an action game.

Dude you havent even played it if you say that. Cause you have no idea what your talking about. The game is F-ing amazing. Played it on the 360 and Wii. I couldn't put down the wii version til my hands literally cramped and couldnt move. Not just sword like saber actions but you and you opened use lightning at the same time you literally have to push and pull against his.Theres to many force moves to name, but you can raise the guy in the air then chocke the,the throw him up in the air and impale him on your saber is my fav, esp. on the we cause you mimic those movements.
No nothing is robotic looking except the droids. The load screens are few, way spaced out and very quick, try playing it b4 commenting dude!!
Its the best Wii game ive played, best 360 game ive played, best star wars game ive played.

I also loved the demo, and I would love to play the full game when I have enough cash.

Blahtsk, thanks for making the only other relevant comment.
