Heck , and that bald-headed old fart made you think everything was just dandy in rosy apple-cheeked Mac land.

I am sure Steve is kicking some ass about this whole launch. I just think Apple tries to squeeze to many things together and sh*t happens. Personally I was disappointed that a mail only option was not added. Some people just don't use all that storage, iWeb and stuff.

It's not just Mobile Me. The 3G network at least in Dallas is getting pounded. Lot's of call failures, and even "you're call can not be placed at this time." Many times the network is so slow it's even slower than edge. THey need to fix that quick.

The more customers you get, the less important each individual customer becomes. You were happy about Apples success... I'd be personally upset about it.

That means YOU become just another statistic rather than a loyal customer. When Apple was obscure, they took their customers seriously, to keep them around. Now that you're just one in millions, they look to the appeasing the masses, and flip you off saying "We appreciate your business, but we have far more people w/o problems to cater to."

Important note: at 8:41 AM PDT the discussion board has now been withdrawn from use at Apple's support site. Here's what you'll see when you go there:
"We are busy updating Apple discussions for you and will be back shortly"

Really? This is very upsetting. I wonder how many of the angry user posts will be gone when they return.

Can someone in the investigative reporting world please please look into this?

I have not had access to my email since July 17, 2008. Still can not access the inbox at me.com. Can not access on line support at apple, all representatives are busy. No idea when or how this will be resolved.

I want to know what is going on @ Apple headquarters. Who are the "genuises" to roll 4 services/products on launch day? Why aren't they giving status updates on what happened with the 1 percent that are down now? I think we can manage a technical explanation of what went wrong.

Man...someone has to be held accountable here, and its not the %1 percent.

This is my second post here, because there is no resolution and no answers. My e-mail @mac.com which I have paid for (since Spring 2005) has been inaccessible for FIVE DAYS now, and Apple does not care. Two of my friends who are Apple apologists say "well, they launched a new product this is temporary, what are you going to do, go with microsoft and blackberry?"

And the answer, with sadness, is probably yes.

With the possible exception of Time Warner internet service in L.A., I have yet to be more disappointed by a company that spends all its money on marketing and zero on making stuff actually work.

The only way to save me as a customer now is to offer ONE FREE YEAR OF MAC.COM for each DAY DOWN. Of course, if they take until next week to get their heads out of their rectums, perhaps we could get free non-functioning e-mail for life.

Tylenol pulled its products from the shelves, Coke brought back the original formula, Apple imploded because they rush stuff to market, make cheap crap in china, and hire the wrong people who don't actually understand computers.

My sony television is 19 years old and has worked perfectly, my sony desktop is in its EIGHTH year, and while struggling to keep up with multiple high-speed internet apps, still works.

So, I will not buy a new mac laptop or desktop, and I will switch my e-mail.

Apple is like a beautiful girl who abuses her children or does coke until she does not know who she is. Why would you back to her? Because when she is healthy she is beautiful?

Well, it seems to be back. With any luck, it will stay back up because it has been up and down all day. Love how it looses some e-mails when its down.

"Loyalty" and "faith" should be reserved for family and friends not business enterprises. Loyalty has to be returned to be meaningful.

Please continue to investigate this story. I have also received no email to my .mac/.me account for days. Based on the volume of posts on Apple's discussion boards, the 1% figure appears to be a gross exaggeration. Why isn't there clear honest communication coming from the company about this outage and when resolution can be expected?! I am profoundly disappointed.

I was going to add that as the mail system is down, this might be the excuse for why Apple have not got back to me about taking money from my account to give me full membership of MobileMe when I only wanted the free trial.

But! as the confirmation email for this forum went straight to my me.com address, I guess that is not so.

Apple finally acknowledges the issue to the "One Percent Club," http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1953
But this was found by accessing a small link button on my account page. Adding to unnecessary confusion is Apple's Status History Report that reports that the "One Percenters" have been restored.

I lost all my mail last Thursday - this is my SEVENTH day going without, but I find a little comfort that they have at least said they know about it. Besides, other than waiting for several hours to reach a Chat person, there was no other way to reach MobileMe "Support." This left only with the option to post to their Discussion Forum. At least I know that they DO look at them - they Disable my ID "For security reasons." I guess they are attempting to stem the flow of "constructive input?" Certainly if mustn't have been any attempt to CENSOR - nooo.

iMagine my surprise when I entered a court proceeding on Monday and learned that my attorney had not received any of the documents that I had sent him. I WAS i-screwed!

Perhaps they right - time is healing. Now that I am without my years old .mac account for close to a week, I have been able to get fully established elsewhere. Now if I can only get my lost and never received emial. My mail data storage indicates zero mb. Not looking good.

MobileMe - Communications like you never iMagined!

I've got access to my mail, but syncing hasn't completely worked for ages. I get an inconsistent data error message whenever I try to sync calendars. For a while, it only affected calendars, but now it's also cropping up on bookmarks.
