Apple could have the iPhone App Store up and running as early as tomorrow to make sure the New Zealanders have third-party applications available when they buy their iPhone 3Gs.

Sadly, due to the (worlds most expensive) plan pricing of iPhones in NZ people who buy these are now going to be ridiculed: "You're paying what? What a sucker/idiot/rich b*stard/sap/etc" rather than lauded. Owning an iPhone in NZ will now become a secret fetish. Shame.

I imagine New Zealand as a country where people in Fiat Puntos point laughing at people in BMWs... :)

If product A is more expensive than product B does not mean people should always choose product B. Heck, some items even sell because they are expensive! (Who for instance really needs jewelry?)
