The CTIA conference is next week, and a report out Tuesday says that Microsoft's Robbie Bach will introduce Windows Mobile 6.1 during his keynote address on April 1.

Isn't it been released a while ago?

xda-developers.com have been releasing numerous 6.1 ROMs for months now. Will the "official" ROM differ from those?

Hi Tom, any specific feature updates in the 6.1 from the previous edition, 6.0.
Also checked out the Windows Photon (WinMo 7) pics, and the list looks impressive. However, the challenge for Microsoft would be to deliver this in time next year (I still think they'd be late in the market after what the rest of the vendors have announced so far)

Jeez. That thing is horribly busy, interface wise. I can see why
people would flee toward the iPhone, which isn't nearly so verbose
while providing exactly the same information on one screen.
