No Unbox Commercials
by klmay65 September 21, 2007 6:54 PM PDT
I downloaded the free NBC shows from Amazon (Through Unbox) and there are no commercials there.
Of course Mac users need not apply.

Sorry Amazon. I will not buy from Unbox until you support the Mac or at least the iPod.

You should say to Steve Jobs he should make the iPod compatible with more file formats rather than complain about Unbox.

NBC vs Apple+Fox
by GGGlen September 21, 2007 10:02 PM PDT
NBC content- loaded with commercials,
Apple+Fox- commercial free.

NBC content expires in one week,
Apple+Fox- keep it as long as you like.

NBC content excludes 25 million Mac users,
Apple+Fox-viewable on any platform capable of running iTunes.

NBC content excludes the #1 MP3 player on the planet (it's not
compatible with the iPod line)
Apple+Fox- iPod friendly.

Apple+Fox? Find a way to expand on this, and let NBC join the
ever-growing list of failed "wannabees".

Looks like I might start watching TV again
by mikemanuel57 September 21, 2007 10:07 PM PDT
I got rid of my TV years ago, and now I just have a DVD player, AppleTV and a HT setup - no cable or sat service. Strictly DVD and downloads (legal) only. If it's on iTunes and free, I'll definitely check it out. Sorry ABC,NBC. I won't be downloading any shows that won't play on AppleTV or iPod. Oh and yes, I hate commercials with a passion (even billboards... except the Apple stuff... ;-) ), so thanks for keeping them out of the show!
