If iPhone goes Orange in Switzerland then I'm NOT..
by imacpwr September 13, 2007 11:46 AM PDT
Big mistake if Apple goes with Orange in Switzerland as
Swisscom has more and better coverage here. My cell phone
uses Swisscom and as much as my heart's set on getting an
iPhone there's NO WAY I'm switching to Orange just to get
one..!!!!

I've bought my iPhone from http://www.iphone-singapore.com/ and so far I'm very pleased with their support and service. I got my iPhone within 1 week which is great, so I strongly recommend anyone to buy from http://www.iphone-singapore.com/

The site looks like fake.. beware
well perhaps ..

That site is a bit misleading. Firstly it says the iPhone won't be in Asia until 2009, Apple has said 2008. There has been no discussion of price at all that I have seen but most apple products retail here for a fairly direct conversion to S$, and since the current iPhone is $400, that would be more like S$600 than the 'estimated selling price' of $1700 this site is suggesting.

I have no idea whether iphone-singapore does deliver unlocked iphones or not, but their pricing seems a little off the market.
More U.K. content

If they announce more video content for the U.K. via iTunes then that will certainly help Apple with sales of its other products there. Namely the AppleTV and the yet to be released iPod touch.

Web sites launch all the time, but they also shut their doors. We highlight 15 that bit the dust this year.

Top 10 news stories of the decade

Let the debate begin: Was the iPhone more important than iTunes? Was anything bigger than Google finding a great business model? CNET offers its list of the 10 most important stories of the '00s.

About Apple

At the start of the 21st century, there's no tech outfit more influential than Apple. CNET News' Erica Ogg and other reporters will attempt to make sense of the rumors, hype, products, and people that will shape the future of the company. But Apple's not the only game in town, as the established cell phone companies and others strike back against the iPhone. E-mail Erica at erica.ogg@cnet.com.
