UPS says that mine is going to arrive on 6/17. Tomorrow!

Of course it is possible that UPS will keep it on the delivery truck until 6/19; that has happened before.

I agree with most of the other posts here. Early adopters need to stop complaining about the upgrade, its well know that new Apple products are introduced on a yearly basis, the WWDC is always in June, new products available either immediately or in July. Just like people who plan to buy the new 3GS, they should not get mad or be surprised if Apple rolls out a new iPhone before the end of the year or early next year. When you buy the iphone or any phone for that matter, you need to commit the 2-year agreement and then when its up with your carrier, you're entitled to an upgrade, where you can buy the latest and greatest phone, but don't think you're going to receive the subsidy or "discounted" price every time a new one rolls out and don't blame Apple and AT & T, every other wireless carrier does the same thing, however, at least with the iPhone, your not stuck with a useless piece of equipment after two-years, you iPhone can still be used just like and iTouch and you can sell it to a a friend or family member to help "subsidize the cost of the iPhone 3G S, T, X, or whatever the next one will be.

I called Apple yesterday (Monday) and while I haven't received an email, my phone should still be delivered on the 19th. I sent in my pre-order to apple.com at 8 p.m. on the 8th.

What comes after iPhone 3G? The technology is really impressive in delivering features and satisfaction to users. Something to look forward after iPhone 3G. What would it be?

Hopefully next in line have the capacity to record a wedding or any celebration. Cheers to that!

NEW YORK (AP) - Palm's shares hit a new year high Tuesday after an analyst said its new Pre smart phone is selling better than he had expected, and its operating system is the wireless sector's "most attractive asset."

Pacific Crest analyst James Faucette raised his per-share estimate and price target on the handset maker.

In a note to investors Tuesday, Faucette estimated that between 90,000 and 100,000 units were sold in the Pre's first week on sale, and he believes there is a waiting list 30 names long at each store. The highly anticipated Pre launched on June 6.

Palm is on track to ship more than his prior estimate of 500,000 Pre phones in the three months ending August 31, Faucette said.

Mine is in Alaska as well. However, UPS doesn't show any ETA for delivery, and I just received an e-mail from Apple saying that it will be delivered by June 22, not June 19.

I preordered mine through Apple.com. UPS shows that it's in Anchorage Alaska and will arrive tomorrow (6/17)

Well as an ATT Premeir Business customer (whatever that means), mine won't even ship out until "they are available Jun 19." If Apple can ship them for Jun 19 delivery, why can't ATT. I swear the minute the ATT/Apple partnership ends, I am dropping ATT for good (early termination fee or not).

Update: Now ATT doesn't know the status of my order at all... they bounced me to Apple, and it took a call from an Apple rep to ATT "management" to get a "promise" that ATT will call me back tomorrow with an answer on my order status. This is ridiculous. ATT is really digging a deeper and deeper hole. No wonder Apple mocked them in their keynote.

Update 2: ATT never called back. Talked to a supervisor again. Got a "promise" that it will be delivered by 14 days from the order date. And a $50 account credit for my trouble. ATT customer support is still the worst I have ever encountered.

I placed my order last Friday. I got a shipment confirmation yesterday. UPS was showing a delivery date of the 18th, although at the moment it isn't showing any delivery date at all (as of this afternoon it was in Alaska though, and I'm in Seattle). Even if it makes it to the Seattle area on the 18th, I wonder if they will hold it until the 19th (like what Microsoft used to have FedEx do when Windows 3.1 came out).

As for the other issue, I have a first generation iPhone that I bought on the day it was released. When I bought the 3G s online last week, I was charged the same rate that a new customer would be charged ($299 for the 32GB model).

I don?t consider it?s worth buying the new iPhone 3G S, unless your carrier offers you a cheap upgrade option. I?d like to keep my iPhone 3G at this moment.

However, fans of the iPhone are cheered when Apple's iPhone 3G S made its debut. Also, most users would like to put DVDs movie video on iPhone 3G S. I?ve found a good tutorial about import DVD / video to iphone 3GS/ iPhone 3G:
