If Apple really wants to increase market share give the Iphone to Verizion.
The Pre and all others will move from the front page to the back page in 1 day.

voice gps I agree can't believe an advanced phone like the iphone does'nt have this.
So many other phones have this option. Probably going to wait to have it on the
next phone so we would have to upgrade.

Apple should add picture and video messaging. That is the only reason I haven't bought an iphone yet. Even the simplest phones have that feature. Come on Apple!!!

After seeing Jimmy Fallon demo the Palm Pre I can honestly say Palm has Apple`s number.
iPhone OS is so lame compared it is unreal. Palm Pre FTW !

I really think it is a Palm Pre induced ulcer that is killing Jobs...NOT the Pancreatic Cancer.

I watch a lot of videos with my iPhone 3G. I'd like an enhancement added which will allow me to view Flash supported media.
On a side note, a landscape style keyboard when texting is a no brainer. Apple dropped the ball on this one.

I would love:
1) An infrared transmitter.
2) Flash.
3) User replaceable battery.
4) Memory slot (SD/MMS/CF).
5) Able record small (5 minute) video clips.
6) Faster camera (Better resolution would be nice as well).

just give me some speed.

every app takes a few seconds to open while with other i can easily count to 6 before i can do anything. makes me dream of palm speed from years ago. i use mine for fun so i can put up with it but those of you relying on this device for work must go crazy with it's sluggish interface?

Here's a quick feature rundown of the pré's hardware:

* EVDO Rev A. (courtesy of Sprint)
* 802.11 b/g
* GPS
* Bluetooth (with stereo out support)
* 8GB of storage
* TI OMAP processor
* 3.1-inch multitouch screen with 320x480 resolution
* Sensors: accelerometer, proximity, ambient light
* 3MP camera with LED flash
* Speaker for speakerphone and music
* Replaceable battery
* MicroUSB connector for charging, with USB 2.0 support.
* 3.5mm headphone jack
* Phone works with slide-out QWERTY keyboard either open or closed.

As nice as the pré's hardware is, Palm's WebOS is where the real action is. As a dedicated iPhone user, I experienced something very strange and quite unexpected while watching Palm demo the new OS: my iPhone suddenly felt old and played out.

I think that apple should use OLED screens to increase brightness and resolution. Good ideas, the MicroUSB thing....ehh..

Cut and Paste, great, but what I think is absolutely needed is for every flipping program, and especially Apple's own, to ROTATE and OPERATE in LANDSCAPE!!!

Why give us autorotate and not have every application designed from day one to support it. I thought I would get better at using the on-screen keyboard, but the Lilliputian version used in portrait mode makes me want to rend my clothing and tear my hair out. This is most inexcusable in the two applications where you type most often, SMS and email. Dumb, just dumb.

And if Apple can't manage to pull off what a number of their 3-rd party developers already do, then maybe develop an external keyboard, or even just support it in the SDK and let others offer solutions. I had a WinMobile phone with a fold out Bluetooth keyboard that was a snap to use and which I used a lot more often than I thought I would.

And now that I have that off my chest, a calendar that didn't suck (a single anemic ding when an appointment time comes!). And give me more choices in reminder intervals. I was reminded of a cousin's birthday 2 days before when her card takes 3 days to get to her. A week or two's heads up would have been much appreciated.

There's no way apple going to give people the stuff we want. Apple only listen to what will get you to buy there products. Look at the genius bar on the itunes. It dosne't tell you what song you like and then tells you wich stores sells there music cheeper. Why do you think podcaster got rejucted? It's trying to look like itunes. Apple is a little baby., and babies whant t hewre mommy's(mac, itunes, ipod,the apple app store). So the only way I see this happen is some how this only makes apple products pushed more. like e you can only do this but you must have this.

Hey wouldn't it be useful for the iPhone to support Quicktime? For those annoying things called websites and e-mail attachments!

Good idea. I support that. Another good thing would be to be able to download videos thru the internet while on safari...I also support removable memory. all in favor say "aye"

2. Adobe Flash
3. Copy paste is ok
4. Search is ok
