Defective species usually die out. Since men can't have babies without women, and vice versa, would it not stand to reason that eventually this abnormality of nature would soon take care of itself. So I agree. Live and let live, and let nature do the rest.

Gays have a place in the future too. It's a very warm place. From the looks of it, they will be there in great numbers. And in that place they can do whatever they like. For eternity. Or as long as they can stand the heat.

I love being able to get on the soap box and spout my beliefs. I am entitled to them just as much as you are entitled to be gay and married.

Key West? Sounds great. Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live - so I guess I'll see you there.

It's funny how we've managed not to die out over thousands of years despite our "defects," as you call them. Apparently God reeeeally wants LGBT folks to be here, because he just keeps sending us, even though we allegedly can't reproduce. Do you ever wonder if he's trying to tell you something? Like maybe you should actually listen to us, for once? Lord knows the world would be a better place if people stopped hating each other. I think you would be a good place to start. Stop the hate.

By the way, it's cute how you subtly insinuate that LGBT people are a separate species. God, I love it when people are open about their bigotry. It's the only way people see just how stupid and ridiculous it is. Thanks for that.

Well defective species can die out, but maybe mother nature needs gay people, thus why they have existed since the dawn of man. If you believe in god, don't you think god would have not created gay people unless he thought there was a need?

Interesting concept don't you think, why did god create homosexuals, I mean, since he created everything, and everything has a reason, wouldn't it be logical and reasonable to assume that god needed and wanted gay people as part of his creation, otherwise they wouldn't exist. So then the question arises, if you hate gay people, are you in turn hating god?

There are plenty of cases where 15 year olds love older men but cannot get married. That is discrimination.
--------------------------------------------------------------
OMG, did you really go that far to prove your ignorance? Really?? A 15 year old isn't considered mature enough to be responsible for his/her own decisions. Read that one again, I doubt you understand it yet. Maybe you're only 15 yourself, that would explain your position better.

Gay people are considered mature enough to be responsible for their own decisions, but people want to take some decisions away. We need to protect the "sanctity of marriage" - that same "sanctity" that allows Brittney Spears to marry someone in Vegas for 12 hours and get it annulled. The same "sanctity" that gives married couples that famous "out" called "divorce", which most people end up using in the end. The same "sanctity" that allows a homeless woman to marry a rich man, divorce him 2 years later and take half of everything he's ever owned.

If gay people want to suffer marriage, I say let them. Marriage is that trashy street walking prostitute that people search out because they hate themselves. It deserves protection from no one.

Besides, this is all a smoke screen anyway. Closet gays are the only supporters of this measure because they fear being allowed to marry their closet gay friends.

It certainly is amusing that you really don't understand my argument. By calling me ignorant you proved you are incapable of understanding the underlying principal. I don't expect you to understand, but in case anyone else is reading, I will restate my point. As a society we find it perfectly acceptable to discriminate against certain segments of society when it comes to marriage. So if you are prepared to dismiss same sex marriage on the basis that it is discriminatory, then you better be ready to defend all other restrictions placed on marriage as well.

We may claim to have really good reasons for marriage discrimination, but in essence, as a society we are applying our collective morals to define the boundaries of marriage. We have made the moral decision that 15 year olds are incapable of making a decision about marriage. We have made the moral decision that brothers and sisters should not be married. We list certain reasons why we make these moral judgments. We say offspring of siblings are more likely to be born with defects. Well, we could apply that same logic and say women between 40 and 50 should not be able to get married because there is a much higher likelihood that their offspring will bo born with down syndrome. The point being, somewhere a line needs to be drawn and our reasons for drawing those lines are not necessarily scientific. Rather, they are based on the moral theories to which we suscribe. Moral certainties for one group of people may be gray area for others. I believe that voters should be able to decide where the moral lines should be drawn.

I also believe that Apple should spend their money in accordance with the best interest of their shareholders, not their chairman. If Steve Jobs opposes prop 8, great, let him pledge his own money.

Protect them from what, exactly? Why don't you just come out and say that you think gay people are child molesters, instead of hiding behind "education" lies which you know are false?

Oh wait - that would reveal your bigotry. Sorry. My bad. Carry on with your lies.

This is the stupidest thing! And idiot Jobs is a moron for getting his failing company involved! Didn't CA already pass this in 2000? Why are we voting again? Because the minority says something? Marriage will ALWAYS be defined as ONE MAN to ONE WOMAN! And nothing else. You can call it something else and I will not subject my children to be taught in public school about some dude and his partner and their kids. That's absurd! This is a sure downfall of society and the value of family!

VOTE YES, YES, YES on PROP 8!!
Defend family, Defend Society

Yes to support idiots and discrimination

No to support equality and love.

Tough choice

Oh, PS your kids will find out eventually. Middle school probably. And they will grow up with gay classmates and gay friends too.

Boy will you be sorry if one of your kids turns out gay. I'll try to assume you aren't heartless and wouldn't throw them out on the street.

Key West is just the waiting room. But in answer to your statement that God made gays for a reason... he sure did. When he comes back, he's going to need residents for that nice warm place.

Why should the majority be allowed to vote against a minority? That's discrimination. Way to go Apple for Standing Up!

Here they are defending people who have made the choice to be homosexual. It's not something they are born with, it's not a disease, it is a choice to live a sinful life style. Why it is just as ludicrous for them to support this as it would be to defend the lifestyle of a drunk, or a prostitute, or a child molester, or a drug abuser, and the list could go on and on..... Companies should have no say so in things political. That is the responsibility of individuals not businesses. But the sad thing is it is not just the companies that are giving their bias opinions about issues it is the media.... This is supposed to be a country run by the people and for the people, but it has become one ruled by the media and for the media, by the big name companies and for the big name companies and them alone.
