Comments on: The backstory on Senate's Google-Yahoo hearing

Microsoft plans to assert that the ad deal may be "illegal," which is what Google said about the planned Microhoo deal. If it really is illegal, why don't these companies sue?

How can a price set at an open to the public auction be artificially low or high? Paid search results go to the highest bidder.

If Yahoo is allowed to sell search engine results through Google when Google gives them a better price than they can manage themselves, Yahoo stays independent and continues to innovate. If Yahoo is forced to merge with Microsoft, Yahoo becomes valueless and Google gets near 100% of the market.

One could only hope the Senate teaches Google the hard anti-trust lessons they taught Microsoft over the years. Google is now displaying some monopolistic tendencies as demonstrated in this Google-Yahoo deal and it's high time Senate put the brakes on such moves: Monolithic Monster: Is Google Replacing Microsoft?(http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=540&doc_id=148028&F_src=flftwo)

Helping the number 2 player independent is a monopolistic practice? The best business strategy Google could take would be to let Microsoft put Yahoo out of it's misery.

Microsoft has been a giant floating fail sign when it comes to internet services. Keep competition alive by keeping Microsoft from purchasing a working company.

If Microsoft has the ability to innovate, they can make their own internet services.

We need to watch the FEC data base for contributions made by MS to Kohl
it is my experience that every time something is fishy it is, preceded or ratstailed by money flowing to elected officials
