Comments on: John McCain helped to create the BlackBerry? Really?

McCain campaign aide's boast that his boss' policies helped to create the BlackBerry are prompting comparisons to Al Gore's claim that, while in Congress, he "took the initiative in creating the Internet."

Personally, if I were John McCain, I'd fire his economic policy adviser Douglas Holtz-Eakin for being deceitful.

"He did this," ..., referring to a BlackBerry, .... "Telecommunications of the United States is a premier innovation in the past 15 years, comes right through the Commerce Committee. So you're looking at the miracle John McCain helped create and that's what he did."

Not technically a lie; but it sure as heck is warm, wet, smelly, bovine feces.

There is a slight difference in this case. Al Gore is the one who said those words about the Internet. He **himself** said that quote.

In this case, John McCain never uttered those words about Blackberry, nor were those words even uttered by someone who represents him. An economic advisor said it this time. I doubt that McCain even knows how to operate a Blackberry.

Those who are trying to equate what Gore did with what McCain said are talking nonsense because *McCain never said it*!

Back in August his campaign released a policy paper in which he claimed responsibility for passing the Do Not Call registry legislation.

He actually had little to do with the Do Not Call Registry.

I think the comment made by an aide is taken out of Context, to make the readers clowns in the media circus. The aide was showing the Blackberry touting the telecom achievements of the Senator in Commerce committee.

I am not fan of McCain-Palin ticket. But I resist to become one more clown in this Media Spin Circus.

Now that CBS has taken over c-Net, I assume we can expect more of this political crap. Why are we subjected to such nonsense from those who put together what is supposedly important information in the IT and related areas? An agenda exists at c-Net. Thank you CBS.

McCain exaggerating his tech abilities is nothing compared the stuff Sarah Palin's been up to. Now this is highly disturbing:
