The GOP turned to Qwest to completely rewire the Xcel Center for its national convention this week.

I wish Qwest would fully wire the suburbs of Minneapolis. Here, it's a Qwest Broadband Dead Zone, with no high-speed DSL, and no fiber-optic internet service.

Great job Qwest PR. Next time Quest is a potential vendor I'll remember your enthusiastic w/ the GOP and do my best to work with anybody else.

Wow michaelo1966 you have your own little black list going on there. Back during McCarthy it was Communist now it's Conservatives.

Why would you assume a party affiliation of a company that accepts a contract? Did you assume that Qwest did all of that work gratis? Their wiring the GOP convention makes for a pretty stupid reason to avoid working with a company.

For what it's worth, Qwest also provided services for the Democrats in Denver. A company would be stupid to turn down that kind of business.

LOL@ michaelo1966! You're really so narrow-minded and blinkered as to boycott a company because they did a contract job for whatever policical party you hate?

Remind me to never hire you in the tech industry... because that's just sad.

So, how long before there are problems and Qwest (or Quest to be the Worst as they are known in the industry) go AWOL. Qwest services are over-priced, under-serviced, over-hyped and under-delivered. Their Spirit of Service tagline is about the most oxymoronic statement I have ever heard a company make.

I have seen the republican convention website, good but not as great as DemConvention. Silverlight2.0 has really lit up the Dem Convention and the live HD Streaming. Hope the republicans have done similar effort with live streaming of some sort, would have been informative and useful.

YankeePoodle,
I've seen a lot of fancy graphics and streaming video over the past year... I've also seen more people packed into a Garth Brooks concert than Obama has ever addressed at one time... in my opinion, neither has anything to do with casting a well-informed vote for a presidential candidate.

I am commenting on the tech part of the Rep Convention. I know who I am voting for (I cant vote in America :D). My comments on the usability and comparison of the two sites and their technology.

How ironic, since they were the only company with the ethics and patriotism to deny Bush's treasonous wiretapping without a warrant.
