I am soooooooooooo tired of hearing about Obama!

If all I wanted to hear was politics, I would go to Fox News.

"I may be a seasoned journalist, immune to political hype . . ."

We'll see about that.

". . . but on this stage, on this night, she's like a rock star."

Never mind.

It seems like 99% of your seasoned colleagues are being sucked in by the hype too. Don't worry. No one with the capacity for rational thought really expects journalists to be objective anymore.

1. This is an opinion piece in a blog.

2. CNET writers are not journalists.

3. The idea that the media is supposed to be neutral is a myth. In your utopia, the media would give equal time and weight to the opinions of Bin Laden.

The best thing about the Obama candidacy is that he is bringing excitement back into politics. People actually seem to be paying attention this time around, which is good for the country.

I am not sure if Obama can change anything since the corporations control 99% of the government but I fully expect a landslide because McCain has nothing to offer but personal attacks. A president whose first impulse is to talk not attack and can complete a coherent thought more than occasionally is far preferable to Dumbya or McCain.
