Barack Obama has chosen Hillary Clinton to be his VP candidate, according to an article on The Los Angeles Times' Web site. It and others describing VP choices were apparently prepared in advance and published, briefly, in error.

News being invented by the media before the actual event occurs in reality.. nice. Just report the facts.

You do realize that this isn't what happened at all? They wrote some canned generic articles that covered multiple possibilities so they would get the story to the site and paper quickly. This happens frequently and isn't nefarious - it just common sense.

As long as the power of the news organizations isn't at the level where, when an erroneous story is reported, they try and change reality to match - I am content. :)

It reminds me of one of those reality TV shows. Once an hour, Obama could IM the list of candidates, and the one not receiving a red rose in the IM would have to leave the show. When down to two candiates, the winner would be announced by an IM to the world.
