Did you read the novel 1984 by George Orwell?

The above post tells you something in similar lines - thought-policing. And that had been portrayed to be a satirical disaster.

I am sure the same will repeat ni real life if such implementation is attempted.

I do not understand how government is so swayed by lobbyists. Its kinda crazy. They all say they are against lobbyists but both sides seem to do the same thing. We definitely need change.

I don't like the idea of "Voluntary agreements" with ISPs as it doesn't ensure the privacy of the end user. It's like taking our privacy away.. The job of enforcing any copyright claims or dispute should rest on the copyright holder instead.

Thank you for the comparison. I think they should find more similarities in order to work together in harmony. That will result much better performance. cheap car insurance

You can block that copy of Transformers, why didn't you stop that too? Are you no longer a common carrier then? Do you lose your immunity for what happens over your network? I think the studios are begging for you to implement filtering because then anything the provider lets thru, they're liable for. And I think AT&T has far deeper pockets than the Joe Teenager downloading the new Kid Rock cd.
