Not surprising someone of her limited intellectual curiosity would be easily fooled.

As usual, Sarah performed brilliantly. She's the real deal, no public facade.

If you think she's brilliant I'm guessing you think Windows Vista is brilliant, too.

I agree...GO PALIN! :)

PS: For the record...I'm a Mac. AND a PC running Vista. I'm both super-cool and stereotyped. lol

It's so blatantly obvious she's in on the prank and just playing along. That is a such a horrible Sarkozy accent. Not that funny.

I'm sorry but if you think she knew this was a prank then you clearly aren't the quickest of cats. Think about this rationally:

1. She's got, what, 2-3 days before Election Day and she's got nothing better to do than to play along with a crank call?

2. She knows that she's on a crank call and let's the thing play out so that she appears foolish rather than turning it on her "attacker"?

No, she had absolutely no idea and perhaps if she knew a bit more about Nicolas then she'd have noticed. This said I think that the assistant to Palin is more to blame. I mean, if you get passed the phone from your assistant and told that it's the French President on the other end, you're going to believe her.

So, no, Palin had no clue that it was a prank call but I also don't think that she could have come out of this much better. But given that no real damage was done I think we can all move on.

If she knew it was a prank why was she so dumbfounded at when they told her it was a prank. That was a horrible sarkozy accent, but she cant tell.

Not trying to read into it too deeply but thing I picked up on was the jock comes on with a horrible Sarkozy accent and she sort of just snickers and plays along. I mean that was like a drunk college student trying to do a Steve Martin trying to do a Inspector Clouseau bad. Everytime I play it I get the impression that she's thinking "I know this it's not him but for the 0.1% it really is him I don't want to be like the principal in Ferris Bueller".

I am just an old man...but, I am constantly amazed at the pure 'hate' within this country. Gov. Palin has done nothing...except accept VP nomination...but for that, she is constantly called names, hated, vilified, etc. As I said, I am constantly amazed at the way our country hates.....

Hahaha, Joe Force are you related to Joe the Plumber? It was a real prank call these guys do it all the time.

I don't think this is embarrassing. I think it is funny in a ho hum kind of way. By the way, I don't have any idea how the conversation sounded on the Palin earpiece--it no doubt, was difficult to hear some of that stupid Faux French. I would also like to know who it was that got a hold of the phone number to the nearby staff of Palin?? Smacks of a lot of preparation for such a poor stunt. I was not laughing--and I have a great sense of humor to laugh at any candidate's blunders.

I guess gullibility (as displayed by the followers of Obama with his socialist and social engineering proposals) is not limited to the Democrats.

They had her for a while but then she kept it going--you can hear her obvious snickering. But, no doubt it was considered a victory for these "comedians." I would have at least tried to be funny.

Caroline, aren't these the same guys who pranked Bill Gates on April Fools' Day in 2000? I have a recording of that, they sound the same....! Hilarious.

I wouldn't be surprised, since I have heard they prank notable people regularly -- I'm not totally up to speed on my Canadian comedy knowledge!

It would probably be worse if she tried to point out that he was fake. That would make her look a lot worse.

A probing question that the French President should know the answer to ought to have done the trick. However, given her limited experience I think that was a bit much to expect. Regardless, if your assistant gives you the phone and says that it is the French President then you are going to believe her. I'm sure that President Sarkozy doesn't need to verify that the person he is talking to is who he thinks it is either when his assistant puts a call through to him.

This is the twit your voting for. Listen carefully. She has no clue about geography, heads of state or someone with an armpit like Joe the plummer.

Of course nothing will happen to these people. Do it to Obama and you're arrested, prodded and thrown away.

Nothing special about a man who doesnt even know where his family is, nor if they are in need. Nothing.

When the kool-aid wears off, I hope you idiots who support this criminal-friend jackass are happy that you've put this nation in jeopardy.

OK moonbats, you have had your silly prank. Now can we talk about 0-Bama's 57 states? Or his Senate voting record of "Present"? Or Joe Biden's paranoid delusions? Or ACORN, Ayers, Aunt Zerotuni?

@old man: I think she was going along with the prank. I agree that the behaviors displayed toward her are abominable, but remember, each generation swings the opposite of their parents. The kids working for Obama will face the disappointments and then their kids will make Alex Keaton look like Abbie Hoffman and put Sarah in the White House in twelve years.

Karma is entertaining as long as you only have to watch.

This pr--ck tried to make a fool of Governor Palin but the prank backfired and the prankster appears to be the fool. Governor Palin should learn to not trust anything coming out of Canada, especially if it sounds French.

As a Canadian, I should take offence to this comment. Perhaps it would be better if I did not take offence to anything that comes out of the US, especially if it speaks English. <grin>

Is this any way to interact with a foreign leader? By giggling like a school girl? And by agreeing with things being said that she doesn't understand? And why would you take a call from a foreign leader without first knowing what the reason for the call is and the agenda for the discussion?

They could have never done this to Obama or Biden. First of all, both are aware that the French President does not speak English. This is a total disaster. How sad is it that we have someone like this running for VP? Heaven help the U.S. if she gets elected.
