Comments on: Hunters claim to have nabbed Bigfoot, Internet goes nuts

In a summer when we've already seen a "Montauk Monster" and a grainy video claiming to be of the Chupacabra, two hunters claim they found Bigfoot and have the body to prove it. Hmmm...

Total bullcrap! I'm upset that Cnet would post this junk... anyone from GA or most places
in the South would rather throw such a carcass on the spit and throw a kegger.

Forget the Georgia Bigfoot. Here's the real deal, alive, videotaped this week in Humboldt County, where Bigfoot was first discovered. If you look close, there's a female Bigfoot at the end.

Along with the JACKALOPE, this will become another of those mysterious creatures that are not what they appear to be and is actually a jumble of bones and fur put together to make it look like something it isn't. Big Foot, Sasquatch, what ever. Loch Ness Monster, Champy, all are often reported to be real cratures but no one has ever provided proof. Photographs and home movies are just as susceptable to retouching and falsification, even more so today with computers and special effects. Clara Peller said "Where's the beef" These guys are saying "Show me the money" A hoax is a hoax no matter how you look at it and the circumstances are very peculiar.

It is these scams that people pull that take creditablity away from real reported monster sightings.
Bigfoot may be some sort of unknown living neanderthal.
If you or anyone you know has had a bigfoot or monster sightings report it here: (http://www.monsterssightings.com/bigfoot-sighting/historical-bigfoot-sightings.html) Keeping current sightings in the eye of the public will make people more aware in those areas of the country to keep a look out for these shy creatures.

About The Social

CNET News' Caroline McCarthy is a downtown Manhattanite who believes that, despite popular opinion, the Web can actually help your social life. She's happily addicted to fun social-media tools from Twitter to Yelp to Facebook, sends an inordinate number of text messages, and has a tendency to waste time at the office reading restaurant blogs. Here, she explores all facets of the Web's gregarious side, as well as the unique tech culture in her home city of New York. (Don't call it Silicon Alley.)
