Comments on: Mufin Player organizes songs by sound

The Mufin Player recommends similar songs based on an audio analysis, but the first beta version has a litle trouble identifying song information from iTunes.

Not a bad idea if you like spending more time waiting than listening. Looks just another way to sell music on line, get a market share from itunes which take almost 1 second to stop when I press play !
What about this very fast and easy to use player at http://alpha2player.com ? It plays and convert all formats I need and even got a internet radio that can record !
And that's a great way to discover new music !

I am surprised that you haven't mentioned last.fm. Although this doesn't listen to the music itself it generally provides better results by using social information.

I too think that user generated content will always be better than strange comparison algorithms... Last.fm looks better. There are people thinking beyond in this subject anyways! look:
