Comments on: A $200 3G iPhone? Yeah right.

Don Reisinger thinks the idea of a $200 3G iPhone is ridiculous. Is it?

One word: Blackberry. By adding enterprise support for the iphone via ActiveSync, Apple is targeting a new market. This entire blog post assumes this is some how a new situation being described in Fortune magazine. It isn't. Blackberry has been doing it for years and while the iphone has been very successful in the consumer market (and prosumer market) to reach a majority of enterprise users they are going to have to be more competitive with the very estabilished and well-entrenched blackberry market. Oh, and enterprise users talk a LOT more which means more $$$ for Apple and Att. This entire blog post is long on assumptions and short on quality analysis.

Here is another article describing why it may actually be true or at least the thinking that could make it true.
